Fleet Foxes and BMSR both had supreme live performances at SXSW. I'm anxiously waiting for friday to see Man Man for the first time! They're currently touring with Yeasayer and plan to drop in at Work Play in Birmingham, AL.

ANNNND Kate recently had a hot-n-heavy exhibition, TRI HARD ERR, with design superhero SUPERMUNDANE and Chris Knight at the Concrete Hermit. It is absolutely gorgeous. There's no diggity no doubt on the intensity of my design crush for Supermundane. If you have yet to check out photos take a peek here. You might have to change britches afterwards.

Last night I had pretty hoppin' deejay set at The Princess Theater in Columbus. It was a fundraiser for Relay For Life and A LOT OF FUN. Great turnout and a lot of money was raised for a good cause!

In addition, The Hooded Deer was featured on the front page of the Starkville Daily News. Thanks to Kelly Daniels for the very nice article.

Today has been a good day thus far. I shipped out my goods to Needles & Pens and my Air Jordan Retro 4 arrived in the mail! Take note of that sweet Valentine my lovely mother recycled and gave to me this year. It makes me so happy!

YA'LL, HE'S FROM BARCELONA!

Ever since Gorilla vs Bear posted 'Fata Morgana' on new years day i've been all about some El Guincho. Pablo's music is beautifully layered, super sonic, afrodub and heavy on the reverb. please check it out! It's perfect for the summertime to come!

At SXSW I was able to catch not one but two performances by El Guincho! [ Emo's + Design Within Reach ] Both sets were full of energy and sounded fantastic. He uses a sampler(roland sp 404), tropicalia dance moves, and live percussion. So Rad!
