Julia Guther

I first came across Julia Guther through her amazing design work with Au Revoir Simone. And MANY thanks to Stephen from Moshi Moshi to treating my mailbox with mega hit records.

But back to Julia's amaaazing work!

Her craft & personality in these tactile pieces is so captivating.

HOW Magazine: Rising Stars!

HOW Mag included me in the fantastic list of young creatives! This a huge honor and I'm so pleased to share the honor alongside internet buddies Meg Hunt & Olly Moss!

Also, in this issue HOW there's a feature on MISSISSIPPI STATE! And of course Kate Bingaman Burt's enthusiasm has carried over to Portland State awarding both design programs as hidden gems.

Go snag an issue and get the full story!
You can read Rising Star interviews here.

Enrolling at Public School!

Public School here i come! Today is move in day.

For those unfamiliar, Public School is essentially a well branded shared studio space with several young creatives. It's made up of 3 photographers and 4 designers and now 1 mega-goober (me).

I'm happy to be settling in with such fine company on the (ever so hip) east side of Austin. Photos of the new setup will be posted soon! Pics for me are hard to come by, but you can always count on a drawing....

AC + Pooneh Ghana + Dent Tee

Last friday I was able to catch Animal Collective live (for my fourth time!) at Stubb's here in Austin. AC has got the vibes toadally collected for this tour. The visuals, energy, and sound are all spot on.

Besides experience an outstanding concert, I was able to finally meet flickr contact, Pooneh Ghana, who took these amazing photos! Pooneh photographs for the Austinist and also contributes to Gorilla vs Bear.

Thanks to her, she captured Panda Bear wearing the Dent May shirt I designed!!!!

Totally took this experience to the next level.

Ahhhhhh, I melted.

see more of Pooneh shots from the show here.

The fancy & hip Christine Forever Young sent me over these two rad thumbs up ladies. It took me several days to even dare mark on the white space. I eventually gave in and drew some goofy stuff.

Like this tattoo that says "SWEET TAT!" Christine awesome make sure to check out her work. She can capture character of people so well. When I grow up I'm going to draw people gooder.

Andy Smith collab

The AMAAAAZING UK illustrator Andy Smith and I collaborated on a poster! The words are by my dear friend Matthew Orr. There are ONLY 40 of these available. The first half (1-20) are available through my shop and Andy has the second half (21-40) in his shop!

Andy nailed the epic type on top with a perfect little smirk in the M.

I attempted to transcend time and space with psychedelic doodles.
