I recently designed the logo for Super Yoga Palace which is an amazing yoga studio located in Deep Ellum (Dallas, TX). It is run by the lovely Jessica Jordan (The Polyphonic Spree) and receives tremendous support from her husband Josh.
I've been been wanting to paint a mural for awhile so I offered and Jessica was thrilled (tricked). So with the help of my homie, Rand Renfrow, We painted our first mural on Saturday! It turned out awesome and I was mostly blown away by the gracious hospitality of the Jordan family. (I even snuck in some Wii with their two awesome sons)
So I took loads of process photos and compiled them into this almost time lapse video.....
will, I think you and I were separated at birth! I make stuff too to keep from getting sad...so far so good. love your blog, just found it! :) and I am linking you on my man blog.
Great stuff Will! You a Mississippi boy? I'm a Mississippi gal...now residing in the Netherlands. Really enjoy your blog and your contributions to poppytalk. I also see you designed Dent May's record album. Dent's my fav. We played at the same venue last year in Rotterdam by coincidence. Bye Will! Keep up the fantastic work, Shelley.
Roxy, i appreciate the kind words. Your work is wonderful! Seems like we're friends forever!
Shelley, I grew up in East Texas but spent my college years in the fine state of Mississippi. Thanks for keeping up with poppytalk! Dent's a fine lad and I really dig his jams. Direct me to some of your tunes!
Yes, Dents great. He was a bit flu-y when i saw him so i didn't bother him much. Kind of hard to when he was laid out on the floor of the dressing room with a fever. :)
